About DiStefano Law
Four decades on Broward County's side. One attorney, start to finish.
DiStefano Law is a Fort Lauderdale personal-injury firm built the slow way — one client, one case, one result at a time. The attorney who reviews your file is the attorney who tries it.
The Firm
The name on the door is the name on your case.
Robert DiStefano has practiced personal-injury law in South Florida since his admission to The Florida Bar in 1982. In the forty-plus years since, he has represented Broward County families against the insurance companies — and he has done it without the billboards, the call centers, or the rotating cast of case managers that define so much of this industry.
When you call DiStefano Law, you reach a firm where the founding attorney handles the work. He investigates the claim, builds the case, negotiates with the adjusters, and — when the offer isn't fair — tries the case in the Broward County courthouse he has practiced in for four decades. That continuity is the point: a family facing the worst day of their life speaks to the same lawyer from the first call to the final check.
The firm works on a contingency fee. There is no retainer and no hourly bill — the costs of building your case are advanced by the firm, and the fee comes only out of a recovery. If there is no recovery, you owe no attorney's fee.
"For forty years the work has been the same — take the case the insurance company hopes you'll settle, and prove what it is really worth."

Why DiStefano Law
A trial lawyer's practice — not a settlement mill.
The attorney handles it
You won't be passed to a case manager. Robert reviews your file and stays on it from the first call through resolution.
Broward, for forty years
Four decades in the same county means knowing the courthouses, the judges, and the adjusters — and being known by them.
Ready to try it
We settle when the offer is fair. When it isn't, we are prepared to take the case to trial — and the insurer knows it.
